Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Have there ever been a Marvel film that didn’t top the domestic box office on its opening weekend? Even so, Wakanda Forever is a significant MCU film, as it marks the end of Phase 4 and the death of Chadwick Boseman. Who is the man we see in the trailer who looks like the Black Panther? Will Tenoch Huerta’s character Namor play a role in future MCU films? We may all find out come opening weekend, as box office predictions are so large.
The Menu
The film is currently No. 2 on the list, but early reports say that the hype surrounding it is well-founded. According to early reviews, Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult star in The Menu as a couple who go to a remote island to eat the exotic food of a world-famous chef (Ralph Fiennes). There, they encounter something much more shocking than they bargained for. The film looks like an engaging bit of fun, and its excellent cast is no surprise.
The Fabelmans
In The Fabelmans, Steven Spielberg infuses his film with personal touches in a way he has never done before. Though the film is about a young man who wants to be a film director (Steven Spielberg himself), the story is about a woman named Izzy Fabelman and her three children, who live in Arizona and are Steven Spielberg’s creations. This film is also about Steven Spielberg’s life, although it isn’t the only one this year or last year. Because it is Steven Spielberg, we can expect an excellent cast.
Enola Holmes 2
When it comes to the follow-up to Netflix’s pandemic hit Enola Holmes, Millie Bobby Brown reprises the lead part and Henry Cavill returns as her older, more renowned brother Sherlock. Enola opens her own investigation firm in this film and tries to help a destitute matchstick girl find her missing sibling, which becomes increasingly ominous as time passes.
Pinocchio (2022)
This isn’t the Pinocchio movie with Tom Hanks as Geppetto; this one was released earlier this year and was panned by critics. Directors Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson, aided by Ewan McGregor, Tilda Swinton, Cate Blanchett, Christoph Waltz, and other talents, created this stop-motion animated Pinocchio. The film was lauded at the London Film Festival and will be available in limited release on November 11, but if it is not playing in your area, you may watch it on December 9 on Netflix.
Bones and All
Last on our list is Bones and All. Bones and All (titled Hungry for Love) is a dark coming-of-age romance. The story is about a young couple (Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell) who eat people and then run away together. It’s a lovely holiday flick. This movie finished second in our Twitter poll but didn’t place in the top five on any other platform.
